Classes
At Aerial Arts Dorset we are proud to offer Aerial Hoop, Pole Fitness, Aerial Hammock and Trickers, our classes for children.
Pole Fitness
Aerial Arts Dorset's pole fitness/dance classes, are all taught with a ‘fitness’ approach, some classes may involve small combinations and flowing transitions, but the majority of classes will consist of building strength, coordination, balance, flexibility and development of pole skills/tricks. Everyone will leave each lesson feeling energised and proud of their progress.

Aerial Arts Dorset has a syllabus in which is used to plan lessons effectively, adopting the ethos to help students progress every lesson and feel a sense of achievement when they’ve walked out of the studio. Therefore, all lessons are planned to suit the individual class, with each student in mind. This enables all instructors to step away from a 'set syllabus' and adapt effectively to student needs, teaching at an incredibly high standard and gaining better results.

Aerial Arts Dorset's advanced knowledge in pole fitness enables instructors to cover all aspects of pole including spinning pole, static pole, doubles, flow, flexibility training, conditioning, floor acro and more. Needless to say, there's always something to learn and perfect with Aerial Arts Dorset.
Aerial Hoop
Learn to move with Strength, Style and Grace.

Aerial Hoop is a circular piece of steel apparatus, suspended from the ceiling, allowing aerialists to explore tricks in and around the hoop. Aerial Arts Dorset has made equipment accessible for all, therefore the aerial hoops are in a range of sizes and can be lowered or raised.

Aerial Hoop is an extremely fun activity for all to enjoy! Starting at basic strengthening exercises and beginner poses, to more complex aerial combinations performed with control and confidence. Classes are professionally designed to improve students’ strength and fitness, enabling them to make noticeable progress every lesson.

Aerial Hammock
Aerial Hammock offers a unique mix of fitness and fun. Participants gain confidence through the ability to properly execute the techniques and find their inner child. Aerial Hammock is a challenging but also rewarding activity. Our sessions include working on mobility, strength, flexibility, flips and tricks with relaxation and mindfulness to finish.
Tricksters 7+ & 11+
Our Trickster classes for children (boys and girls) include learning all the foundations of Aerial Hammock and Aerial Hoop. Flexibility training and conditioning off the equipment are also elements seen every lesson. Tricksters develop some beautiful friendships and learn a huge amount of transferable skills, setting them up physically, emotionally and socially for the big wide world.
Parent Observation Policy

The studio is a safe space, where children will feel they can develop their own identity, confidence and learn to think for themselves. By asking parents to leave their child in our very capable hands during the session, students are able to focus and train without emotional boundaries effecting progress, it also enables those less confident to feel safe knowing there’s nobody unfamiliar observing.

There will be opportunities during 'Watching Week' where parents and guardians will be able to observe a class.
All Tricksters instructors are highly qualified, DBS checked, insured and First Aid trained.
